Prom Night at Bruneau Sand Dunes - April 19th

A wonderful weekend was had by all over our RV camp out at Bruneau Sand Dunes about 90 minutes SE of Boise. Jeanette Johnson had the group photo taken by an innocent bystander with her camera for us to remember the event.

Bruneau Sand Dunes contain the tallest single structureed sand dune in North America and rises to almost 500 feet above some small lakes in the desert. In addition to the dunes, there is Idaho's only Public Observatory with the states largest telescope (which is still way small in comparison to most others.)

Here are some landscape pictures of the area.

In addition to the dunes and observatory, we saw an owl nest with 3 young owls. The nest was way too small for the 4 of them, so we only got to see a couple of the young owls as the 3rd was hiding under mom most of the time. In the early evening, they are getting hungry and are up and checking everything out.

And of course, the partying with my friends. Here are a couple of shots with the dunes in the background. Are they glamerous?
